Winter in Maine 2002

Where to start............well, how about some cross-country skiing photos. I enjoy skiing on Dr. Swett's ski trails in Dover-Foxcroft. The trails are nice and skiing is free. Dr. Swett, I thank you for letting the public ski on your groomed trails. It is a wonderful gesture and great for the folks of the community.

This is my daughter Cathy skiing across the field under darkening skies. Katie follows along behind.

This was Cathy's first time on skis and we did a lot of laughing (just as my sister and I did when I was on skis for the first time). I missed some really good pics because I was laughing so hard. We had a great time and want to go again soon.

My grandson, Tyler, likes to go skiing with me too. He does pretty well! Sometimes Katie gets confused at the intersections and starts to go on the wrong one. She always decides to follow us though. Here she is wondering where Tyler is going......lol!!

The trail passes by this old sugar shack, where they used to boil down maple syrup from the sap of the maple trees. Katie likes the snow and often lies down and rolls around in it.

Ok, now let's go ice fishing!!
